Jackie is MD of the successful business women’s network, 1230 The Women’s Company Ltd and owner of the equally successful Blog website, Birds on the Blog.
Starting her career as a secretary, with 3 children Jackie qualified as an IT Trainer which led to her starting her own IT training business. Her Fund-raising role for St Christopher’s Hospice had additional sole responsibility for staff IT training and support. 1230 TWC grew organically from a need to make contacts for the training company.
Launched in August 2002, 1230 The Women’s Company (1230 TWC) is the leading business women’s network providing on and off-line trading and business growth opportunities across the UK and overseas at a local level. This dynamic networking business helps businesswomen make the connections and find the support needed in women’s business lives; to meet locally in the Business High Street, share experiences and work together to grow successful businesses through regular vibrant, buzzy networking meetings.
With an address book littered with influential people across all walks of life, Jackie, known as “The Connector” has the ability to not only connect the dots to help others build a bigger picture for business but also because she literally thinks in terms of connections.
For Jackie, this is a personally inspiring and satisfying business: “Being able to see the synergies and connect businesswomen, to see the “Eureka!” moment that networking provides as their businesses grow, is so rewarding; I am exceptionally fortunate to be in a business that I just love.”
Jackie is involved with a number of projects and initiatives in her local community. Currently Chair of Beckenham Business Association, Jackie also sits on the Town Centre Team Beckenham and the Board of Directors for Beckenham Together BID. Award-winning Beckenham Businesswoman 2013. She’s an international speaker, mentor, NED and owner of pink hair!
